The VMUF Management Committee headed by Dr. Ma. Lilia P. Juan VMUF President, Dr. Angelo B. Juan VP for Administration, Dr. Angeline Mae P. Juan- Reyna VP for Finance and Dr. Catherine Torio VP for Academic Affairs welcomed high ranking officials from the Embassy of Nigeria in Manila during the Scholars Day and Cross-Cultural Heritage Celebration on April 15,2026.

The Guest of Honor, His Excellency Hon. Adeshina Eduard Oloje, Charge d’Affaires and Interim, provided a message of support and international cooperation through his representative, Hon. Abdullahi Saidu Daya (Education Desk Officer/Consular).

Meanwhile, the Keynote Speaker, Rev. Comr. Okoye Chikelue Chris, Emeritus President of NANS Philippine Zone Inc., delivered an address focused on the dual pillars of cultural pride and scholastic achievement. Comr. Chibuzo Kingsley Nwosu (President of NANS Philippine Inc.) was also among visitors.

The said occasion centered on the theme “Celebrating Cultural Heritage Academic Excellence, and Global Unity.”

The celebration served as a bridge between Filipino and Nigerian cultures highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse academic environment. Some VMUF deans, department heads, faculty and staff also attended the event.
