In celebration of Oral Health Month, the Philippine Dental Students Association - VMUF Chapter initiated an outreach program as one of their projects which offered an oral health education, free dental check-ups & kits, oral prophylaxis (teeth cleaning) and fluoride application to the community of Barangay Perez-Riverside, San Carlos City, Pangasinan on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Aside from spreading awareness to oral health care and rendering free dental services to the community, it aims to help the clinicians of the College of Dentistry in VMUF to scout for potential patients for them to be able to comply on their clinical requirements. It is also an act of the PDSA officers and the college to serve the Barangay in return for accommodating the Dentistry student representatives during their preparation on events of the 66th Foundation Anniversary of VMUF. We give thanks to Dr. Ma. Mildred L. De Vera, our college dean for her utmost guidance and approval to this event, as well as to the willingness and cooperation of the barangay officials of Barangay Perez-Riverside, headed by Hon. Lance U. Soriano. We appreciate the faculty and alumni of the College of Dentistry for their support in various and many ways. Most especially, we are grateful for having the PDA President - Pangasinan Chapter, Dr. Arnold Wendell Padilla for his valuable support to this event.
